About
Artist Julie Stunden lives and works in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. She teaches woodworking, at the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh and Art History at Pittsburgh CAPA High School. She taught in the Art and Architecture Department at Carnegie Mellon University, and the Fine Arts Department at the University of Pittsburgh, and LaRoche College. She co-operates Stunden Studios in Pittsburgh's East End. She has exhibited in the United States and South Africa.
During the 2020-21 Global Pandemic a close friend introduced Stunden to the wonderful world of backyard chickens. She became fully fascinated and immersed. Her current artwork reflects this ongoing invested relationship.
